The Farm Business Boot Camp is a partnership project between the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources Victoria (DEDJTR) and the Agricultural Industry including; Australian Wool Innovation (AWI), Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA), Future Farmers Network (FFN), Ag Institute of Australia, Victorian Young Farmers (VYF) and Young Agribusiness Professionals (YAPS) The one-day Farm Business Boot Camp workshop business economic sessions will be presented by Associate Professor Bill Malcolm from Melbourne School of Land and Environment, University of Melbourne, Paul Blackshaw (DEDJTR, Farm Business Economist) and Neil Barr (DEDJTR, Social Researcher). Lynn Strong (Art4Agriculture) will present a session on "Business success is in your hands - ensure you are selling what your customer is buying". The content of the workshop will be specifically developed and tailored to the needs of young producers, including relevant industry specific examples. There will be a dinner function (with top quality local produce) and guest speakers following the workshop.
