Enable OT is FNQ-based practice established to enable people with mental health, and complex health and disability challenges to build lives worth living. In addition to one-on-one clinical work, the practice has developed and delivered life-changing programs for the past two decades - preventing burnout and expanding the on-the-ground effectiveness for clients, parents, carers, employers and service providers in dealing with issues of mental health self-care, and a variety of mental health, cognitive, and social disability areas.

OT is a health profession that has been around for over 100 years. The profession started in mental health before moving on to other specialty health areas.

OT's are the experts in 'occupation'. [Think: anything you do that 'occupies' use of time, not just paid work!]. We know that:

• what you do and don't do

• how much you do

• the mix of what you do

• the way you do things

• who you do things with

• when/where you do things; and

• why you do things your particular way

.....can make you sick or healthy.

We also know that when you are sick or impaired, it affects your capacity and motivation to do the things you want and need to do.
