Event Details

We invite you to be apart of a very special evening with the Russian curator of Alexander the Great.

The evening will start with exclusive time in the Alexander the Great: 2000 years of treasures exhibition. Then, enjoy some cheese and wine in the Museum Atrium whilst reflecting on the antiquities you have just seen and of course we will have the shop open for you to purchase a catalogue.

We will then gather in the theatre for an introduction by Frank Howarth, the Director of the Australian Museum, followed by a lecture presented by the Australian Museum Alexander exhibition curator Liz Cowell and the Russian curator
Dr Anna Trofimova, Head of Department of Classical antiquities at State Hermitage, St Petersburg Russia.

Date: Wednesday 16 January, 2013
Time: 5.30 - 8.00pm

Please Note:
Exhibition viewing time will be strictly between 5.30pm and 6.30pm. No entry into the exhibition after 6.30pm will be permitted. This is the only lecture that allows ticket holders time in the exhibition.
