Business Icon 2012 Awards Dinner
The Business Icon Awards will celebrate the achievements of leading university students across Australia who have taken on complex business and social tasks to stand out from the crowd. From hundreds of participants down to 32 finalists, you will witness the top four contestants perform in the final task in front of Australia’s leading business figures and industry champions.
Date: Tuesday 11th September 2012
Time: 6:00pm to 9:30pm
Inclusion: 3-course meal, live judging & guest speakers
Venue: Zinc, Federation Square, Melbourne CBD
Cost: $140pp or $1,200 for a table of ten

Business Icon® is an Australian young leader’s competition that brings together top business leaders and university students to bridge the gap between education and employment.
The competition challenges young people to work on real life business tasks, first in teams and then as individuals to prove they stand out in a highly competitive environment.
Business Icon works with Australian based charities and social causes, to enable students to experience what it means to be a leader with a social conscience, using their skills and creativity to help those in need. In 2012, Business Icon has partnered with Opportunity International, an Australian based micro-finance charity, to support them in raising awareness and funds through the competition.
The competition aims to inspire young people today to become the business leaders of tomorrow.
Business Icon is a program run by the Australian Experiential Learning Centre (AELC). Experiential education is a philosophy and methodology in which educators purposefully engage with learners in direct experience and focused reflection in order to increase knowledge, develop skills and clarify values, resulting in meaningful and long-lasting learning.
