Event Details

We probably all know at least one….the person who manages to get under your skin, makes life difficult and takes away the enjoyment of going to work! Well there’s good news and bad news. The bad news is that there will always be toxic people in our lives, but the good news is that there are many things we can do to dramatically improve the situation.

This workshop presented by Pathways Australia is suitable for staff or volunteers working in a management role. Participants will learn why people behave badly (the real reasons aren’t always apparent) and how you can take action to eliminate or at least modify the person’s unacceptable behaviour. Yes…it can be done!

Having a ‘difficult conversation’ with an employee. peer or manager can be daunting. Participants will also learn why we often shy away from having them (allowing the problem to remain), how to prepare, when to have them and what to say…and not say!

You will leave the seminar with the tools and confidence you need to manage difficult personalities and have those difficult conversations without any further delay.

Please note VCOSS is unable to refund the ticket administration fee should you be unable to attend this event.

All registered participants receive a complimentary subscription to PIECES. PIECES is the VCOSS Clearinghouse e-newsletter and includes training and development opportunities and resources for community organisations.

For more information please contact hayley.peck@vcoss.org.au or (03) 9654 5050 or free call from regional Victoria on 1800 133 340.
