Are you a programmer who has yet to take the plunge into building your own iPhone or iPad app? Would you like a whirlwind tour to help you get up and running?  We will help you get going!

Pre-requisities: 
Previous object-oriented programming experience. Basic understanding of objects and classes.

Laptop-requisities:
You MUST bring a MacBook/MacBookPro running either Snow Leopard or Lion, WITH the latest version of the iOS SDK which you can download here:

NOTE: This is a massive file and you will not have time to download this during class, so please be sure you do this in advance.


In this three-hour class we will cover:


* An overview of the Objective-C language
* Important concepts to iPhone/iPad dev, including: Memory Management, Properties, Protocols, and Delegates
* The toolset (XCode, Interface Builder, Instruments) 
* Details about Views and View Controllers, the cornerstone of most apps
* Dos and don’ts to keep in mind as you begin
