Focus on needs of writers, editors
The course focuses on the training needs of writers and editors, to help them produce content that is accessible and meets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0.
For technical or design staff we recommend Vision Australia's Web Accessibility Techniques and Testing workshop.
How we will teach this workshop
In each section of the workshop after the introduction to accessibility we will:
- Introduce the relevant guidelines (called 'success criteria') and explain their benefits
- Show examples of how to meet or fail the guideline
- Discuss extra writing and content design techniques related to each guideline
- Demonstrate any relevant accessibility tools
- Review some live websites using the guidelines and tools discussed

If notification is received 14 calendar days prior to course start date a full refund less administration fee will be provided; Cancellation between 14 and 7 calendar days prior to the course will result in a 50% refund less administration fee. Cancellation less than 7 days prior to the course, fees will not be refunded. In the event a course is cancelled by Vision Australia, a full refund will be provided to all applicants.
