Objectives

This popular one day course has been updated to reflect the emergence of new technologies, testing approaches and adherence to WCAG 2.0 as required by the governments Web Accessibility National Transition Strategy (NTS).

Attendees will learn about common accessibility problems and practical techniques to confidently address and test for issues on their website or web application. Based on the WCAG 2.0 standards to level AA this workshop demonstrates design and code solutions to achieve accessibility conformance. Best practice techniques that help an organisation create a richer user experience past straight technical conformance are also demonstrated throughout the workshop. Our best practice techniques further assist an organsiation to meet their obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).

Examples from current websites and practical exercises are used throughout the day to help deliver the learning outcomes. The extensive experience of both practical and technical accessibility ensures that our presenters can respond to the specific requirements and questions of each group.
