Join us for this very special edition of Green Roof Tour. We will tour a number of Green Roofs in Sydney, have a look at the rooftop designs, have a brief discussion regarding concerning proliferation of green rooftops, regulations, history, best practice and ways we can accelerate the development of sustainable spaces in an increasingly urbanised society. Our tour stops are:
STOP 0 - 11:50 - Parliament House - 6 Macquarie St. We need to allow a good 10 minutes to get through security screening.
STOP 1 - 12:00 - Parliament House. Rooftop tour by the Botanical Gardens specialist and Operations Manager will provide a brief discussion on building sustainability initiative.
STOP 2 - 12:30 - The Bond - 30 Hickson Rd, Milsons Point. Iconic green star building with unique architectural features and exquisite green rooftop.
STOP 3 - 1:00 - Central Park, Broadway. Planned development of the largest and tallest Green Wall in the world.
STOP 4 - 1:30-2:30 - Pit Stop - 3-7 Danks St, Waterloo. Teas, rooftop honey tasting and a project presentation.
STOP 5 - 3:00 - 10 Lincoln Crescent, Woolloomooloo. Green roof in Heritage Woolloomooloo wharf area, providing excellent integration with Botanical Gardens, marina and cafes.
