23 July 2014, 9:00am to 4:00pm

Unlocking the power of finanical information to build the confidence of Non-profit decision-makers

 About this course

This workshop, designed specifically for Board members, CEOs, senior managers and program managers of Non-profit organisations, uses an accessible (and sometimes humorous) approach to ensure all participants gain new knowledge and skills about how to use financial information more effectively. It is a great course for people who do not have a strong financial background, but need to use financial information for decision-making.

Key topics include

  • Jargon and Terminology
  • Implications for Solvency
  • Strategy and Risk
  • Cash and Accrual Accounting
  • The Standard Chart of Accounts (SCOA)
  • Income and Expenditure
  • Budget and The Balance Sheet
  • Cash Flow Budgets and Forecasting
  • Financial Ratios and Financial Health Checks
