Application of Oil Dispersants by Sub-surface Injection: Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Gulf of Mexico
Presentation by Dr Kenneth Lee, Director, CSIRO Wealth from Oceans National Research Flagship.
The premise of chemical oil dispersant use is to reduce net environmental impacts based on the dilution of oil below toxicity threshold limits and the stimulation of microbial induced degradation.
Dr Kenneth Lee leads a national team of multidisciplinary researchers, he promotes research and development and the application of emerging technologies in ocean sciences to increase Australia's global competitiveness.
