Upstart Productions proudly presents its second annual comedy event called The Thursday Throwback.
For four Thursdays in August (and one in September), The Thursday Throwback showcases some of the best full-length comedy shows you missed the first time, or are hanging to see again.
The five-week season is designed to offer comedy-goers the chance to see fully formed hour-long shows that are usually confined to a festival season. It’s also a chance for performers to dust of past shows that they worked so hard perfecting, and a chance for comedy goers to see a show they missed the first time, or really just want to see one last time.
Outside of festival seasons, comedy is predominantly confined to line-up style nights, where you see a mix of good and not so good comedians doing short sets. This is an opportunity for punters to see a polished, high caliber show that these artists worked so hard to perfect.
After a successful inaugral season of The Thursday Throwback in 2013, which saw the likes of Joel Creasey, Josh Earl, Simon Keck and Nath Valvo among others perform to sold out houses, The Thursday Throwback brings a fresh line up of talent to get you laughing the winter blues away.
This is the last time these shows will likely ever be performed in Melbourne again, so get in quick.
Just bring ID on the night to verify your ticket.
