Event Details

As part of Global Entrepreneurs Week 2012, EntrepreneursNT is hosting a screening of The Startup Kids, a documentary about young web entrepreneurs in the U.S. and Europe.

The film contains interviews with the founders of Soundcloud, Dropbox, Vimeo, Playfish, Rainmakers, Kiip, InDinero, Foodspotting and many others who talk about their experiences launching a startup and their lives as an entrepreneur.

The Startup Kids was made by two Icelandic entrepreneurs, Vala Halldorsdottir and Sesselja Vilhjalmsdottir, who founded their first company shortly after the economic collapse of Iceland and wanted to motivate other young people to become entrepreneurs.

EntreprenursNT is about helping individuals and groups put their ideas into action. We believe that entrepreneurs can change the world, in fact they have been doing it for centuries. So that is what we want to do: change the world by helping you to be an entrepreneur. By connecting people, sharing stories and acting on ideas.

EVERY VENTURE, NO MATTER HOW SMALL, IS WORTHWHILE.

Whenever we meet someone who has an idea and followed it through we are inspired. Not all the stories start or end with financial success, but the one constant with all of these stories is the courage, the conviction and the PASSION of the individuals involved, of these entrepreneurs. Every venture, no matter how small, is worthwhile.

My name is Jason Schoolmeester and I'm the founder of entrepreneursNT.  I'm married to Caryn and we have a daughter, Penelope.  We live in Darwin in the Northern Territory.
