Come and try T'ai Chi Chuan
An introduction to T'ai Chi Chuan, a gentle form of exercise which can help with problems such as arthritis, joint stiffness and stress.
This come and try session will be run by Alan Whitfield. Alan teaches T'ai Chi Chuan as practised today by the Canberra school in the traditional Yang Style Long Form and Short Form.
The Short form was developed from the Long Form by Master Chen Man-ch'ing and customised by Master Lee Ying-Arng.
The Short Form practice here does not have the repetitive movements of the Long Style and provides a balanced sequence with each posture performed both on the right and on the left.
Alan runs regular evening classes at Erindale College, Lake Ginninderra College and Stirling College during school terms.
