If you like a little pain with your mountain adventure sport gain, you're going to love the all new off road adventure event series that is Mt Baw Baw's inaugural SEASONS OF PAIN.
Seasons of Pain: Autumn
The second in a sensational series of trail running and mountain biking events on Mt Baw Baw.
Run 8km // Ride 12km // Run 8km // Ride 12km + a smidge (1-2km) of pain.
Enter as an individual or as a team of two.
Two disciplines, achievable distances, but tough terrain. One event per season, four events for the year, with every outing immersing you in the unique and wild seasonal environment found on the flanks of Mt Baw Baw. The pain, alas, will remain the same each time you compete (unless you're not racing hard enough?).
Seasons of Pain offers runners and riders a very different cocktail of mountain sport madness and a great year-long target of four events.
What to expect? First up, don the dirt-munchers (trail running shoes) to dance your best singletrack salsa, enjoying a technical trail loop out and back to Race HQ at Baw Baw Village. Then saddle up your fat tyre steed (mountain bike), and point the front wheel into Mt Baw Baw's snowgum wilderness. Then ride like the wind.
The flowing singletrack will whip you round the mountain before it's back to the central transition zone in the Village where you'll shed the cleats for another fresh trail run treat on a different loop course. Then, assuming your legs are still able to push the pedals, it's yet another ride on yet another new loop route out and then back to the Village.
But it's not over. Not. Quite. Yet. Lace up. There's a sting in the tail: a final (short) trail dash to the finish. This is the Pain.
So c'mon. Come hurt yourself. It'll be fun.
FEATURING: free hydration, free canapes post event, music and more, including plenty of prizes.
PLUS: can you win your way into the VIP Lodge? Overall winners of the Seasons of Pain Autumn will win free accommodation, food and race entry for the next round, Seasons of Pain: Winter
