Santa Cruz Trek 4 days

Cordillera Blanca Huaraz 2016

In Group and Private Service:

Includes: Transfer in/out with public minivan and autos for private and group, Trekking Guide who will cook, Donkey Drivers, Donkeys, Tent for Dining and cook, Mattress, complete food 3B – 4l – 3D

Transfer with Public minivan, sleeping tents and mattress, group’s tents, food

Prices is not Included Huascaran National park entrance fees, Sleeping Bags, tips, mineral water, and extra donkeys.

Passengers can give to donkey drivers minimum 2 kilos for donkeys, other belongings and if you are carrying lots of your belongings you must carry as much kilos you take to your trek.

PRICES REMARK: the price US$ 180.00 per person we don’t guarantee departure in the date you have signed in, as this price is mandatory to join a group we have to wait to make a group and could be 2 or 3 days before or after the day you have signed in, if lucky if the group is ready we will depart at the day you signed in, IF YOUR GROUP IS UP TO FIVE PERSON the departure is at any time you desire. Otherwise if you make reservation in advance we can join the group to you. This is mainly for month’s low season from October to March, if you want to avoid this; private service costs US$ 280 per person Based in two passengers (we don’t accept only one, as this is expensive), transfer is always with public minivans and autos shared with local people even for the price US$ 280.00

Day 1.- Huaraz - Cashapampa - Llamacorral
We will leave Huaraz around 7 am from your hotel and drive along the callejon de Hualas passing several villages of Carhuaz, Yungay and Caraz, then continue to the trail head Cashapampa 2900masl, where we will meet our donkey drivers, after to prepare and leave thing for pack the arrieros we will start hiking up by narrow and hot valley, we will go up for about 2 hours, then we will have lunch down the tree’s shadow, then we will start going up moderate almost flat area to the first camp Place Llamacorral at walking time from lunch area is 2 hours more so total hiking time is about 4 hours . Overnight camping at llamacorral 3760masl. Aprox 5km



Day 2.- Llamacorral - Taullipampa
after the Andean breakfast in our camp site we will hike along the valley moderate enjoying the beautiful lakes called Ichicocha and Jatuncocha turquoise lakes, the we will arrive to nice spot where will have lunch at the place called Quisuar, then after it we will go up to the Alpamayo south base camp, then after to take pictures we will return short walk then continue for few hours to the next camp place called Taullipampa camping at 4200masl walking time aprox 6 hours, about 8 to 9 km



Day 3.- Taullipampa – Huaripampa/Cachinapampa
After the Breakfast in the Camp site taullipampa we will start our hiking around 7am, after 3 hours hiking up in the zig-zag path we will reach the Punta Union pass at 4750 masl, from here we will have spectacular views from the mountains such as Taulliraju, Paria, Artesonraju, and others and beautiful lake of Taullicocha then continue hiking down to Morococha lakes pass them and arrive to Cachinapampa Camp place after 4 hours hiking down form Punta Union Pass, camping at 3850 masl walking time is approximately 8 or 9 hours, 12Km aprox


Day 4.- Huaripampa - Vaquería - Llanganuco Valley and return to Huaraz
after the last day breakfast in the camp site, we start hiking along the valley down to Huaripampa then turn to right side and climb small part for about 40 minutes to get vaqueria, here our minivan will be waiting for us to take us to Huaraz trough a road now crosses the Portachuelo Llanganuco Pass (4,750m), The road leads up to the pass through quinoa forests and meadows before opening out as we approach the lakes will be another place to have your camera ready as the lovely Llanganuco Valley comes into view. You will also see the east flank of Huascaran with both North and South peaks providing the backdrop to a vista that will include the Huandoy group (6,395m), Chopicalqui (6,354m) and the awe-inspiring Chacraraju (6,112m). we will descend down into the Llanganuco Valley. At the road head we will be driven out of the National Park to Huaraz, where we will stay overnight. Our final night in Huaraz should provide an excellent opportunity to toast a successful trek
