Event Details

Exposing children to another language has many benefits. Come along to Tuggeranong Library and Celebrate the 2013 Children's Book Week theme: Read Around the Universe.

This is a special story time where some basic key words of stories will be read aloud in another language.

A representative from the ACT Billingual Education Alliance will also be available at the conclusion of the session to answer any questions that you may have.

The ACT Bilingual Education Alliance (ACTBEA) is a local non-profit community group that seeks to support and encourage bilingualism in the Canberra region. The Alliance supports and promotes family-based bilingualism as well as formal bilingual education programs, from preschool years throughout primary and secondary schooling, both mainstream and community based. - (taken from their website).
