Description

Queensland is a multicultural success story. Cultural diversity has made Queensland a rich, prosperous and exciting place to live.

The Queensland Multicultural Business Lunch - "Economic opportunity - embracing diversity to reap rewards" brought to you by the Commonwealth Bank, is an opportunity for businesses to learn more about the economic benefits of engaging with the multicultural community.

The business lunch will be held during Value of Diversity week and is one of the first activities being held during Queensland Multicultural Month, the largest celebration of multiculturalism in Queensland.

Ticket holders receive:

  • An opportunity to hear from Peter Beattie, Chairman, Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC) sharing insights on Commonwealth Games business opportunities and how GOLDOC's diverse workforce will ensure a successful games.

  • A range of other speakers on the economic value of diversity.

  • A two course lunch and opportunities to network with others in the business and multicultural sectors.

Dress: Business attire.

Do I need to tell someone I have special dietary requirements?

Yes, when you book your ticket online you will be asked if you have any dietary requirements.

Yes, when you book your ticket online you will be asked if you have any access requirements.

What is the last day to book tickets online?

Online ticket bookings close at 5PM on Tuesday 2 August 2016.

We are unable to accept online bookings after this date.

I am coming with a group of people, do I need to know what their dietary and access requirements are?

Yes, if you are booking tickets for a group of people you will need to know everyone's dietary and access requirements before your booking can be finalised.

How do I tell you about my or another person's dietary and access needs?

There are three ways you can tell us about dietary and access needs:

1. When you make an online ticket booking make sure you type information into every box marked with a red asterisk (*).

2. If you are making an online ticket booking and you don't have the information you need to type into every box marked with a red asterisk (*) just type 'To be confirmed'. This will allow you to submit your ticket order online even though you still need to provide more information about diet and access needs.

3. Before online tickets close on 2 August you must contact Michelle Harland by email at qmm@communities.qld.gov.au or by telephone on 07 3224 5481 and provide outstanding information.

Do I need to bring a digital or printed copy of my ticket to the event?

No, the event organiser will add your name to the guest list. When you arrive you will be asked to prove your name at the door.

Is car parking availble at the venue?

Limited parking is available at the venue at a cost of $40 per vehicle. Parking is subject to availability. Alternative transport options are recommended. Parking is also available at the King George Square Car Park adjacent to the event venue. Vehicle access is via entry and exit in Roma Street and entry only from Adelaide Street. Parking charges apply.

Can I travel to the venue by train, bus or taxi?

There are a number of bus stops along Adelaide Street and King George Square. Both Central and Roma Street train stations are only minutes away, with Central train station the closer of the two. A taxi rank is situated outside the venue in Roma Street.
