Modern Reusable Cloth Nappy Workshop
Thursday, 4 September 2014 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM (AEST)
San Francisco, California, USA
London, United Kingdom
Manly Council is excited to announce a Modern Reusable Cloth Nappy Workshop, the first in new series of waste avoidance initiatives. This workshop, hosted by Manly Council and presented by Sal from Flower Child, is for anybody in the Manly Council area who is interested in the new phenomena of modern reusable cloth nappies and why they are such a great alternative to disposable nappies, for the environment, your wallet and your baby.
Every child in disposable nappies will create over 2 tonnes of nappy waste before they are toilet trained. This is an enormous environmental burden and places a huge strain on your local waste services. In the Manly Council area approximately 15% of the contents of our domestic garbage bins are nappies.
Anyone who is considering starting a family, has one on the way, or already has a couple of little ones running around should attend this workshop. This workshop will demonstrate how modern reusable cloth nappies can meet the specific needs for you and your family.
What will you get out of the workshop?
- Knowledge about how modern reusable cloth nappies work, what they’re made of and how they’re cleaned
- Tips about how to easily institute or convert to a reusable modern cloth nappy system
- The chance to see and feel some of the nappies and associated products currently on the market
- Any other questions you may have about modern reusable cloth nappies answered
If you are a Manly Council resident and interested in learning more, book your place in the Workshop now.
