Can I bring a Dog to the show?
We love all dogs, and there will be 100's for yout to meet and pat at the Show. But due to safety reasons we are unable to allow visitors to bring their own dogs into the Show. Click here to view policy. By purchasing a ticket you agree to abide by the Dog & Safety welfare plan.
Can I come on any day with my ticket?
When you buy your ticket you will need to select which day you will attend the Show. Tickets are only valid for the day they are purchased so additional tickets are required for multi-day visits.Tickets are non-transferable once purchased.
What are the Show opening times?
9.30am to 5pm each day.
What days will Dr Chris Brown be presenting at the Show?
Dr Chris Brown will be presenting on Saturday 30th April & Sunday 1st May only.
Are Assistance Dogs able to enter the Show/Venue?
Yes, visitors with accredited Assistance Dogs are able to bring their dogs into the Show, however they will need to show verification at the door.
Where can I park?
There is public parking underneath the Royal Exhibition Building and the Melbourne Museum with numerous car parking options in the area and city including Wilson Parking on 90 Victoria Pde, East Melbourne and at the Eye and Ear Hospital plus if you book online, using the promo code DOGLOVE, you can purchase a discounted daily ticket for just $4 for Friday afternoon and all day Saturday & Sunday. What are the public transport options?

Tram number 96 & 86 run along Nicholson Street and stop near the Museum Concourse Gate across from the Royal Exhibition Building.
There is a free City Circle Tram to Victoria Parade but please note that there is no stop at Spencer Street Station. The City loop train to Parliament Station (Spring Street exit) is an easy 5 minute walk away from the venue and a great option.

Is there an ATM in the venue?
An ATM machine will be set-up on the Ground Floor and the venue also has a permanent ATM. Most exhibitors will be selling and launching an extensive range of fantastic new products and services at the event with Show Specials and great offers exclusive to the Dog Lovers Show! We strongly recommend you bring cash as the ATM wait times can occur but many Exhibitors will accept credit card & EFTPOS facilities.
Are there any additional costs once I’m inside the show?
All the entertainment, education, information and attractions are free upon entry so it’s a great value day out!
Can I buy products & services for my dog at the Show and will there be any new products or show specials available?
Absolutely! It’s like a huge doggy supermarket with 200+ Exhibitors showcasing and selling all the latest and greatest toys, treats, accessories, food, insurance and services to reward your pooch! There's also lots of exclusive show specials!
Can we purchase a Dog at the show?
We are governed by the Victorian Domestic Animals Act, which states that under no circumstances are we permitted to have any dog adopted and/or sold at the event. However all the information will be on hand to ensure you are very well informed on all the best options.
