Event Details

The 'Melbourne Accelerator Program' is an exciting initiative of the Melbourne School of Engineering to support motivated students, staff, and alumni who seek to translate their ideas into scalable solutions that meet the needs of society. Full details of the program available here.

At the participant information night, we will be going through the program in detail: outlining eligibility, the selection process, what's on offer, and what's expected for those involved. There will be ample time for questions at the end, as well as information about some upcoming workshops designed to help you get started in entrepreneurship.

You must register to attend, doors open at 6pm for a 6:30pm start. Tea and biscuits will be provided.

Notes from the information night will be made available via the Melbourne Accelerator Program (MAP) website

Melbourne Accelerator Program (MAP)

MAP is the preeminent entrepreneurship program in Australia.  Our vision is to raise the culture of entrepreneurship.

Since its inception in 2012, MAP has evolved to offer a range of public events, workshops and programs to up-skill and connect aspiring entrepreneurs.  Top startups are awarded Entrepreneurial Fellowships and gain access to the MAP Startup Accelerator where they receive $20,000 funding, office space, mentoring and travel to Sydney and Silicon Valley.

MAP alumni have raised over $5.1 million in funding, generated almost 60 jobs and $1 million in revenue since June 2012.  In June 2014 MAP was ranked number 13 globally from over 300 university business incubators surveyed from 67 countries by the UBI Index.
