Working with Interpreters
Knowing when and how to work with interpreters is essential when working with clients with low English proficiency. Understanding how to integrate an interpreter into the conversation will lead to more effective communication.
On completion of the workshop, you will be able to:
Identify when an interpreter is needed and the process to engage an interpreter
Explain the role of an interpreter in communication with clients and community
Apply the skills required to work effectively with an interpreter.
