Kevin joined Anecdote from a stellar career at a number of the UK's prestigious banking giants, including Barclays, Lloyds and RBS.

Influencing change throgh the natural power of stories
Change happens when we feel the need rather than when we rationalise and analyse. We’ve all developed our behaviours for a reason. They serve a purpose and we all have a story in our heads which makes sense of what we do, day in, day out.
When we need to change those behaviours, however, we need to help people find new stories that replace the old ways of thinking. We can’t fall back to merely providing sophisticated arguments because you just can’t beat a story with the facts; you only beat a story with a better story.
This workshop is for leaders who need to make change happen and want to learn how to use stories to diagnose what’s really going on, trigger new stories that inspire action and design initiatives that really engage employees in acting their way into a new way of thinking.
At the end of the workshop participants will be able to do the following:
- collect stories to see what’s really happening in your company
- conduct sense making workshops to create insight and inspire action
- communicate the direction and intent of the change program with stories
- design story-based change initiatives that stick
