IDEAS are partnering with the City of Sydney to undertake a series of FREE workshops around disability awareness for community groups and local businesses within the identified village hubs.
This training will provide the understanding and the confidence needed to make meaningful connections with people with disability in the community and those visiting the city, and therefore encourage a greater participation in all areas of city life. The workshops will also help build the capacity and skills of businesses and community groups to make the changes needed to reach, connect to, partner/work with and welcome people with disabilities, thus strengthening the local economy.
This workshop has been designed for business owners and front line staff working in the retail, community service and the tourism and hospitality sector. Anyone working with people with a disability will also benefit.
