After a fantastic response to the last parenting session on schoolwork, Clinical Psychologist, Dr Judith Locke, is offering a 2-hour parenting session to parents of students at Brigidine College. Judith uses latest research and clinical experience to show positive and effective strategies parents can use to maintain good communication with their teenager, and help them become more confident and capable in their teenage and young adult years.
- discusses common challenging behaviour exhibited by teenagers, such as moodiness and anger, and gives parents strategies they can use to manage these issues and maintain family harmony
- offers techniques to maintain a connection with teens now and as they start to become adults
- offers solutions to parents to encourage teenagers to feel confident and cope better with the typical ups and downs of late teen and early adult life.

Dr Judith Locke, Clinical Psychologist
Judith Locke, the founder of Confident and Capable, is a clinical psychologist, and former school counsellor, teacher and workplace trainer.
Judith has a successful private practice at Toowong and also trains throughout Australia and internationally on topics related to parenting, resilience, and psychological wellbeing. She also provides psychological commentary in newspapers and on television shows. Judith believes providing useful information to parents early on will ensure a long-term positive impact on children and families and prevent or minimise future problems.
