Guided walking tour of Erskineville's pocket parks and playgrounds conducted by a City of Sydney historian and parks staff.
Learn about the rich and fascinating social history of Erskineville's secluded pocket parks and playgrounds on a leisurely guided walk taking in sites such as Green Bans Park, The Kirsova Playgrounds; Flora and Knight Reserve; Lilian Fowler Reserve.
This is also a great opportunity to become familiar with the diverse range of play equipment suitable for children of all ages and abilities at the numerous lesser known playgrounds which punctuate the Erskineville's backstreets.
After registering for the event - your name will be on the guest list available with staff at the meeting place - Near children's playground within Green Bans Park, corner of Albert Street and Erskineville Rd.
Please check weather conditions, the event will proceed regardless of the weather. Please be sun smart and bring bottled water - refill stations are available enroute. The route involves gentle inclines and the negotiation of pavement kerbs. Shaded places to sit are available enroute.
An additional tour in the early afternoon will be scheduled if demand exceeds the ticket supply.
