Emergency Management Planning Workshop - Frankston
Thursday, 18 September 2014 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (AEST)
San Francisco, California, USA
London, United Kingdom
The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for all staff, students and children. Every approved education and care service (children’s service) and school in Victoria is required to have an Emergency Management Plan (EMP).
The Emergency Management Division is offering two hour workshops to assist children’s services and schools to develop EMPs to meet the specific needs of their children’s service or school. These workshops will build on those delivered in previous years.
Workshops will be delivered across Victoria and will cater for a maximum of 30 participants. Facilities on the Bushfire at Risk Register (BARR) will be given an opportunity to stay for an additional 30 minutes for further assistance/clarification on closure processes and procedures.
To assist with planning, the following documents have been prepared for all workshop participants:
Guide to developing your Emergency Management Plan
Emergency Management Plan template for schools
Emergency Management Plan template for children’s services
Participants are encouraged to bring the Guide and relevant EMP template to the workshop for reference.
