Consultation on proposed directions for Stage 6 Mathematics syllabuses
Location: North Ryde RSL, Pittwater Rd, North Ryde
The Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards NSW (BOSTES) has begun work on the development of new syllabuses for Stage 6 English, Mathematics, Science and History. The new syllabuses will include Australian curriculum content.
The BOSTES has legislative responsibility in NSW for developing and endorsing the Kindergarten to Year 12 curriculum for the approval of the Minister for Education for implementation in NSW schools.
Broad directions have been proposed for the development of new Stage 6 syllabuses in English, Mathematics, Science and History and are included in the paper NSW Senior Secondary Review and Evaluation: English, Mathematics, Science and History. The BOSTES is currently conducting consultation on these proposed directions.
Stakeholders, teachers and interested members of the public are invited to attend this consultation meeting to provide feedback on the proposed directions for the development of new NSW Stage 6 Mathematics syllabuses. This is a registered professional development course and will contribute two hours towards registered professional development for professional teacher accreditation.
