Come on board the Greenpeace Esperanza ship in Townsville
Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM (AEST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
If you’ve ever wondered what it would be like to stand aboard a Greenpeace ship, now is your chance!
Next weekend the Esperanza will be docking in Brisbane. You can hop on board, see where the action happens and meet the crew – for free!
Free tours will be open to a limited number of lucky guests, and bookings are highly recommended. Each tour will take about an hour.
This is a rare chance to come and tour the ship and learn firsthand about Greenpeace’s work to protect the planet.
We can’t wait to welcome you on board!
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
There is no age limit to enter the event.
Is the event accessible for people with mobility problems?
The site itself is accessible to children and people with disabilities. To join a tour of the ship you will be required to walk across a gangway from the Berth. Although the gangway has hand railings, it may be quite steep and slippery. Please consider this when booking your ticket. The final decision on which guests can be safely accommodated will be up to the Greenpeace crew at all times.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Please refer to your local public transport providers. There is plenty of car parking located nearby.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Please bring sturdy footwear. You can bring a small bag or backpack with you, but no large luggage. It is advised to bring a hat & sunscreen, or an umbrella & rain jacket.
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?
Please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on 1800 815 151
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
If you can’t make it for some reason, you can send a friend or family member in your place. They will need to tell us the name of the person who made the booking when they arrive. Please come a little early to avoid delays.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Bring your printed ticket if you can, but providing the name of the person who made the booking should be sufficient.
Can I cancel my ticket once it's booked?
If you can't make it on the day and need to cancel your ticket, please let us know so we can offer the space to someone else.
Can I change my time slot after booking has been made?
We will endeavour to accommodate time changes IF SPACES ARE AVAILABLE but please understand this will not always be possible.
Bookings are full! What do I do?
If you show up on the day, we will do our best to fit you in to one of the tours. Please make sure you allow extra waiting time as priority must be given to those with tickets.
