Description

MAC Curve

Enhancing energy efficiency decision making with a marginal abatement cost (MAC) curve

CitySwitch, in conjunction with Net Balance Foundation, are pleased to invite you to the launch of the CitySwitch Marginal Abatement Cost (MAC) curve tool to support energy efficiency decision making.

Join this free introductory webinar to find out how the tool can be used to help your organisation save energy and money, and to take away some of the confusion when prioritising potential sustainability projects.

There are many options for reducing energy consumption in office buildings, ranging from the installation of lighting controls and lighting upgrades to purchasing more energy efficient office equipment or upgrading HVAC systems - but how do you know what is the best and most cost effective way to reduce energy consumption?

Some options may be quick and inexpensive to implement, but may not deliver significant energy savings, while other initiatives may require significant investment, yet deliver excellent longer term energy savings.

A MAC curve can help answer some of these questions by allowing you to compare energy saving options, and prioritise them based on their cost and potential impact. This webinar will provide step-by-step guidance for decision makers seeking to reduce the energy consumption of their organisation in a strategic and prioritised way.

The one hour webinar will provide participants with training on:

How MAC curves work

How to collect data to create your own MAC curve using the CitySwitch tool

How to interpret the results of a MAC curve
