CCS Rotterdam 2011 is an opportunity for Members of the Global CCS Institute and the European CCS Demonstration Project Network to convene and share knowledge around the deployment of large-scale CCS projects both across Europe, and internationally.

 

Program

The program is structured as follows:

Members of the Global CCS Institute are invited to register here to attend part or all of CCS Rotterdam 2011.

Everybody interested in project progress, lessons learned and the challenges faced by 6 large-scale European CCS demonstration projects are invited to register to the Project Network meeting, as well as sign up for the site visits on the final day.

Accommodation

Organisers of CCS Rotterdam 2011 have reserved accommodation at the Hilton and the Inntel Hotel in Rotterdam, close to the meeting venue. Transportation will be provided to and from accommodation each day. To secure accommodation, please book early.

Inntel (100 rooms available): 185.00 per night

Hilton (50 rooms): 145.00 per night

Social activities

The organisers of CCS Rotterdam 2011 believe that complementary social events are an important part of the programme of any conference or meeting. In Rotterdam, delegates are invited to attend:

Sunday 8 May: Global CCS Institute Welcome Reception, sponsored by Rotterdam Climate Initiative and the City of Rotterdam.

Monday 9 May: Global CCS Institute Members' Meeting Dinner, sponsored by Cintra, EMO and ROAD.

Tuesday 10 May: Reception and Informal Networking event on the SS Rotterdam, sponsored by Det Norske Veritas.

 

Site visits

On Wednesday 11 May, delegates are invited to attend site tours to nearby project sites.

These include:

·         Futureland at the Maasvlakte2 site;

·         The ROAD project; and

·         Visit to greenhouse (possibilities of CO2 Reuse).

Delegates will be split into groups of 52 (maximum). Transport, and morning tea/coffee will be provided. The tours will start 7.45 and conclude at approximately 13.30 hrs.
