TOPIC: Take Charge of your Work

Mandy Holloway

Do you have a strategic plan for your working life (or even for 2012)?

Whether you run your own business, or work for someone else, you need to take charge of your career development. No-one’s going to do it for you, though they might be full of advice like, ‘Tap into your strengths’ ‘Leverage your skills’ and ‘Make a five-year plan’. All very well, but how do you do this? Where do you even start?

In this highly practical session you will experience the tools to identify your strengths and skills, think about what you actually want in the next 5 years – and see how you might get there.

Join Joanna Maxwell for a taste of using creative thinking to identify your abilities and work out how to use them to stand out in the fast-changing world of 21st century work. It's time to be strategic!

Joanna has recovered from her first career in corporate law to become the owner of WorkInColour and a coach, creative thinker, trainer and writer. She's long been fascinated by the power that comes from combining the rigour of critical thinking with the possibilities of creative thinking. Programs such as Juicy Thinking and the Escape Hatch are the result.

Joanna's style is interactive, using humour and a grounded approach to engage participants. Words often used by others to describe her presentation style are 'enthusiastic', 'lively', 'practical' and 'inspiring'. She gets results.

Joanna has been coaching, presenting and conducting workshops since the 1990s. Clients include:

Australian Broadcasting Commission
Roche Pty Limited
VECCI (Victorian Chamber of Commerce)
AmGen
Australian Rural Leadership Foundation
Industry and Investment NSW
Cover-More Australia
PPR (Professional Public Relations)

Join us for a fabulous event where you can meet like-minded professional women, enjoy a delicious hot breakast and listen to a speaker guaranteed to inspire. Plenty of time for networking and discussing issues with your peers.

Two informal networking periods (7-7.30am and 9-9.30am) to catch up with someone or finish that conversation. Enjoy the lovely discussion at your table over breakfast.

We look forward to seeing you - and we know you will enjoy it. Feel free to bring your colleagues but book early. Numbers are strictly limited to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all that allows you to connect with everyone in the room if you want to - not just those at your table.
