Event Details

We are very excited to present Bob Brown in conversation with Nell Schofield about his book Optimism.

"This book is going to be very special.  There is so much heart and soul in it that it will cut across generations and political affiliations..." Pam Brewster, Publisher

In Optimism, Bob Brown shares with us his stories and insights, from both his public and private life, revealing the people and events that have made an impression and the ideas that have caught his imagination.

Expect to be surprised and inspired by what promises to be an amazing night with two incredible Australians who have both responded to their own "call to action".

Bob Brown is one of Australia's most thoughtful and recognised public figures and is the former Parliamentary Leader of the Australian Greens.

Nell Schofield is the Sydney Campaign Co-Ordinator with Lock The Gate, a national alliance that stands beswide Australian communities in their fight to protect land and water from coal and gas.  Best known for her role in the cult classic Puberty Blues (1981), Nell studies acting at NIDA where she and fellow students created the original play Strictly Ballroom.  She has worked as a broadcaster and TV presenter with CNN, Channel 9, ABC and Showtime.
