A FREE workshop for teachers on practical ideas around positive behaviour guidance in the classroom
The workshop will be facilitated by Jo Lange. Jo is a behaviour specialist who has extensive experience working in a variety of educational settings, specialising in behaviour management and dealing with difficult behaviours. For 13 years Jo was a primary school teacher, and then extended her experiences to co-ordinate and teach within ‘at risk’ youth programs.
The workshop will explore the reasons why students misbehave, examines why many current approaches may not work and provides highly effective, and provide simple preventative school and classroom strategies.
Topics will include:
- Why do students misbehave?
- Identifying the importance of social needs and how these impact on challenging behavior
- Preventative Strategies in the Classroom
- Innoculating’ against challenging behaviours: Classroom procedures and teacher strategies to positive prevention.
