Description

This free workshop provides GPs with an update on the antenatal shared care guidelines at Armadale Health Service, the recommended screening tests in pregnancy, antenatal dilemmas in primary care and risk factors that require an early referral.

GPs will also have the opportunity to learn more about the latest changes in obstetrics and gynaecology services across the south metropolitan area following the recent opening of Fiona Stanley Hospital.

Learning objectives

  1. Improved knowledge of recommended screening tests in pregnancy including the indications, benefits and risks of various screening tests.
  2. Improved understanding of antenatal dilemmas in primary care.
  3. Increased knowledge in identifying obstetrics, medical and surgical risk factors that require an early referral.
  4. Improved knowledge and understanding of the hospital’s obstetrics and gynaecology services.
  5. Increased knowledge of the hospital’s antenatal share care guidelines and the new Midwifery Group Practice service.
