Alexander the Great: The Man, The Myth, The Mystery.
This exciting 9 lecture series kicks off on the 16th of January starting with exclusive time in the Alexander the Great: 2000 years of treasures exhibition followed by a lecture presented by the Australian Museum Alexander exhibition curator Liz Cowell and the Russian curator Dr Anna Trofimova, Head of Department of Classical antiquities at State Hermitage, St Petersburg Russia.

Thursday 31 January – Professor Bob Milns AM will present The Macedonian Background and Alexander’s Life till his Accession
Thursday 7 February - Dr Elizabeth Baynham will present Alexander the Great - not so alone: Alexander's Nearest and Dearest
Thursday 14 February - Dr Christopher Matthew will present The Evolution of Hellenistic Warfare
Thursday 21 February - Dr Paul McKechnie will present Alexander the Great in India (Pakistan, and Afghanistan)
Thursday 28 February - Dr Margaret Miller will present East and West, Before, During and After Alexander
Thursday 7 March – Dr Chris Forbes will present Alexander the Great or Alexander the Lucky
Thursday 14 March – Professor Kenneth Sheedy will present Imagining the divine Alexander
Thursday 21 March – Dr Craig Barker will present Alexander in Popular Culture
The lecture series ticket includes exclusive time in the exhibition on the 18th of January from 5.30pm - 6.30pm only.
Cheese & wine served before each lecture (6.30pm - 7pm) and a 1 hour lecture (7pm - 8.15pm)
