Topic – Aseptic Technique

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WORKSHOP CONTENT AND PROGRAM, IS IN PREPARATION AND YET TO BE CONFIRMED. INFORMATION BELOW IS ADVISORY ONLY AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE

This series of Symposia is provided for members of the College - however non- members are welcome at a nominal charge. If you wish to join the College this can be done via the Join Now link on the College Website

This series has been developed by the College in collaboration with Sue Atkins Regional Infection Control Consultant CICP Service & Workforce Development Grampians Region as an ongoing education program for members.

Research undertaken by the College has identified this area as a priority for ongoing education.

We are indebted to Sue Atkins and the Service & Workforce Development Grampians Region for enabling the College to provide these Symposia for members.

A provisional program outline has been created as follows;

5.30 – Arrive, network and registration.
6.00 – 7.00 pm First presentation including discussions, Q & A session.
7.00 – 7.30 pm Light Meal/Finger Food and sponsor viewing
7.30 – 8.30 pm Second presentation including discussions, Q & A session.
8.30 – 8.45pm Wrap up – Final questions and College issues/input
8.45 pm – Close

Attendance at this event attracts 2 AHPRA CPD hours of CPD - this is based on the published program for the workshop which will be included on the Registration page details when confirmed.

The provisional workshop objectives and outcomes are;

  • To provide opportunities for professional development of infection control professionals
  • To review and discuss current state, national and international trends in infection control
  • To gain expertise in the implementation of aseptic techniques in a wide variety of healthcare settings
  • To better understand their role, responsibility and boundaries in relation to infection prevention.

Final objectives and program are expected to be ready in early April
