A Sustainable Feast with Rohan Anderson
Saturday, 26 January 2013 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM (EST)
Inject your Australia Day with a bit of rural romance.
Join us at The School of Life’s Open Day where you can find out more about Melbourne’s first Summer Term and take a more enlightened approach to this national holiday - our take on the fair dinkum Aussie BBQ.
Rohan Anderson will cook and prepare the menu from food he’s hunted, grown and bartered near Ballarat. As well as sustainable food for thought, there’ll be a Conversation Menu exploring some of the thornier and funnier sides of being Australian.
The Australian Future Foods Lab, exploring the revival of Australian native foods, will be on site offering their unique sensory experience.
When & Where
The School of Life Australia
The School of Life is dedicated to exploring life’s big questions. How can we fulfil our potential? Should work be inspiring? Why does community matter? Can relationships last a lifetime? We don’t have all the answers, but we will direct you to a variety of useful ideas – from philosophy to literature, psychology to the visual arts – that are guaranteed to stimulate, provoke, nourish and console. We draw on the whole history of ideas and call on the best contemporary thinkers to offer intelligent and playful ways to tackle age-old concerns within a modern context.
Since The School of Life London was founded in 2008, we have helped countless people change career, deepen and repair relationships, develop personal resilience and compassion, learn new skills, unleash creativity, pursue their passions, have adventures and make new friends.
