WIC is a Canberra based, non-profit organisation that brings people together to champion women in information and communication. Our all-volunteer group includes members from junior to the most executive level positions in the local technology domains. This includes developers and other IT experts, as well as, business analysts and marketing personnel in both the public and private sectors.
Each year, we hold a number of networking events open to the general public, as well as, members only events. Two of the most popular events are our WICked Hot Breakfast Series and our annual WIC in Winter Dinner and Debate.
Becoming a member of WIC provides you with the following privileges:
- Attend WIC events at member rates
- Attend WIC members only events like our High Tea
- Receive a members' pack
- Vote at the AGM
- Join the WIC Board
We encourage any organisation with more than 2 regular WIC event attendees to consider a corporate membership. As a corporate member, you will receive the following benefits:
- Organisation's logo on the “shared” page of the rolling display at the events to show your support for women in information and communications careers.
- Discounted prices for your employees to all events and the “right” to attend members only functions (like our High Tea).
